The forth most popular internet browser Opera has been shouting rather loud recently about its new technology that will “re-invent the web”. Well, they have just released the details on exactly what they plan to do! A new piece of software they call Opera Unite will turn every computer into its own server hereby bypassing the servers of giants such as Google and Twitter etc.

Think about collaborative applications such as spreadsheets, documents or Wikis, which you can work on with friends and colleagues without having to host them on a third-party site such as Google Spreadsheets or installing specialized applications on a dedicated server.

Theres nothing really new here. Geeks and nerds have been doing this for years and years but bringing the easy to use software to the masses will open it up to to everyone.
