Having won a four way pitch to develop an identity – we then set about the task of presenting logo ideas and concepts to our new client. Founder Ali Torkington (Glam Camping Co.) briefed our designers on how she imagined to logo would be used, in both print, online and even embroidered on some of the bespoke products she was hoping to develop.

Here’s the result…

With this established we then set about developing a suite of logos that would support the main brand – these were to be used to help identify the categories of products that would be sold on the site. Ali wanted to name the categories in a distinctive way and have something unusual, she chose ‘snooze’ for bedding, ‘tidy’ for storage solutions and five others that had a similar effect. With these designed we then presented a concept for the website which we are pleased to say was signed off almost immediately – with just one or two tweeks!

After three/four weeks of development we were pleased to launch the site to coincide with the ‘Launch Party’ on April 14th. Here’s the website…

The new “Top 50 Valleys Essentials” iPhone app features the top 50 attractions  in the South Wales valleys.

Over the last couple of months, the people of The Valleys have been voting for their favourite attractions and the results are finally published in this new iphone application. Mike Parker, author of the famous “Rough Guide” series has written reviews for the attractions.

Its Sugar Creative Studio’s first iPhone production with more already in production for various clients with Andriod production already part of the development pipeline.

Finally, after many hundreds of miles on the road and many hours in front of Final Cut Pro, the video was given its premiere at the National Assembly Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay in front of a large audience.

The innovative A/V set up at the Pierhead Building enabled Sugar to get creative with the production linking all 6 screens together in one simultaneous presentation with a main presentation taking centre stage and supplementary images appearing around the auditorium.

The film is the first to be completed by Sugar using our new HD DSLR video production equipment.

This is an “Experience Video” that shows a normal day in a couple of years when all these technologies are affordable enough to be used everywhere. This video is the result of an experiment with open innovation, read more about the experiment here.

Sugar were commissioned to produce the website and printed material that is currently being distributed around Wales.

The project involved the production of a new website and a suite of bilingual leaflets and brochures.

Cardiff-based Equinox Communications (previously Equinox PR) is one of Wales’ leading communications agencies specialising in communications services, spanning the disciplines of public relations, marketing, design, social media, crisis management and training.

The Equinox Communications Website was developed in php with a MySQL database backend. It has a splattering of jquery throughout to add a touch of movement when needed…and of course, being a flash free website, it works wonderfully well on iPads too…
